Wireless Development Quality Assurance Engineer

The Wireless Development Quality Assurance Engineer works within the R&D team to ensure the productivity reliability and accuracy of the Fortinets WLAN product. In general testing is to cover various features combinations integrated with various Fortinet products in a way most customer would be deploying their real-time production networks; with real-clients and traffic. Also to test Interoperability between Fortinet-devices and 3rd party devices or clients. The QA Engineer must be able to collaborate with the team and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced work environment to identify the highest risks that must be addressed for determining release readiness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design develop and execute detailed test plans (functional regression performance).
• Build complex testbeds integrating multiple Fortinet and third-party devices.
• Perform interoperability testing (Fortinet 3rd-party devices/clients).
• Analyze customer-reported issues review logs replicate defects in lab validate fixes.
• Identify isolate document and track bugs through resolution.
• Produce accurate QA reports on time.
• Build and maintain test infrastructure for feature validation and defect reproduction.
• Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers on debugging.

Job Requirements:

• 36 years of wireless QA experience.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies (test plans bug tracking failure documentation).
• Networking and Wi-Fi protocol knowledge:
  • 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be
• Experience with:
  • Functional stress/load and performance testing
  • Linux/UNIX/Windows OS
  • Debugging and log analysis
• Wireless tools:
  • Wireshark
  • Omnipeek
  • Ixia Veriwave
  • Chariot
  • iperf
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Python automation experience.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science/Engineering or equivalent.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130000-$151000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits including medical dental vision life and disability insurance 401(k) 11 paid holidays vacation time and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market job type and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidates subject knowledge skill level qualifications experience and geographic location.
