Job Description
The Admissions department strives to create a welcoming environment for prospective students to ensure a smooth transition for students enrolling in the college.
The Admissions PSEO Advisor will assist Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) and the public to access higher education opportunities. This position will assist in marketing efforts community outreach financial aid assistance and admissions for PSEO students and all underrepresented student populations.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week in the Admissions department on the Coon Rapids campus. The hours will consist of Monday-Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm. The hours and/or days may change during summer and non-class days and some weekends and evenings will apply. There is limited opportunity for remote work depending on business needs.
Salary Range:
$25.67 - $37.26/hour
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year of experience in outreach event planning customer service financial aid or other related student services experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An Associates degree could be substituted for 6-months of experience and a Bachelors degree is 12-months.
Oral written and communication skills to explain Admissions information.
Presentation skills to effectively promote and represent the college.
Ability to learn understand and communicate a variety of degree requirements.
Ability and willingness to work as part of a team and to work independently.
Experience using technology or ability to learn various technology platforms (Microsoft Office Student CRM systems) to effectively provide services to students.
Evidence of commitment to the success of a diverse student population.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelors degree
Experience and understanding of Post-Secondary Enrollment Option
Previous related work experience such as Academic Advising Financial Aid and/or Admissions advising.
Experience with one or more of the following populations: EAP/ELL/ESL students multicultural students and career program students.
