Job Description:
Summary
We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to design build and own modern DevOps platforms on Microsoft Azure with a strong focus on AKSbased workloads CI/CD automation and cloudnative operational excellence with heavy emphasis on Azure capabilities.
This role goes beyond release coordination and requires deep handson expertise in DevOps architecture platform engineering and secure production operations. The successful candidate will be a thoughtful leader and a DevOps champion and should also have recent exposure to MLOps and agentic AI application deployments leveraging modern Azure AI services such as Azure AI Foundry Azure AI Studio and Azure ML.
You will act as a technical leader setting DevOps standards designing scalable pipelines and platforms mentoring engineers and enabling engineering teams to deliver reliably at scale in a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Acts as a handson technical leader
Owns DevOps design decisions and platform evolution
Drives automation reliability and developer productivity
Design and own DevOps and release architecture across nonproduction and production environments
Execute and coordinate application releases including cutovers and deployment windows
Own deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure App Services
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Ensure release readiness environment parity validation and rollback strategies
Define and maintain release documentation (runbooks cutover plans deployment checklists)
Enforce DevOps security governance and operational best practices
Identify and implement automation and continuous improvement opportunities
Support MLOps and AI/agentic application deployments on Azure (Foundry AI Studio Azure ML)
Mentor DevOps engineers and provide technical leadership
Education & Experience:
10 years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
2 years leading or acting as a senior DevOps technical owner
Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments
Required Primary Skills:
Strong experience in DevOps / Release Engineering
Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure including:
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Azure App Services
Helm Charts
Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
Strong CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions
Solid understanding of: Deployment strategies (blue green canary rollback) Security considerations in DevOps and release management and Operational readiness and production support
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to MLOps pipelines and AI/agentic application deployments
Experience with Azure AI Foundry Azure AI Studio or Azure Machine Learning
