Job Summary

Summary:

The Child Mind Institute offers graduate students in doctoral psychology programs 12-month externships in the following six tracks:

  • Anxiety Disorders Center externship
  • ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center externship
  • Autism Center externship
  • Clinical Assessment and Research externship
  • Gund Learning and Diagnostic Center (Neuropsychology) externship
  • Mood Disorders Center externship
  • Bubrick Center for Pediatric OCD Center externship

Externs will receive at least one hour of 1:1 supervision per week as well as an additional hour of supervision in group accordance with NYNJADOT-PSYDNYS Externship Guidelines externs will also receive direct observation at least once per academic semester.

Each externship will begin on July 1 2025 with a mandatory orientation that will take place July 1 & 2 2026. The externship will end on June 30 2027.

Each extern reports to their respective center Senior Director or Training Coordinator.
