The Senior Energy Engineer is responsible for leading complex technical projects and contributing to the strategic development and execution of Engineered Solution (ES) programs. This role requires advanced engineering expertise strong analytical capabilities and demonstrated experience in project management and client engagement. The position plays a critical role in shaping energy efficiency strategies mentoring junior staff and supporting business growth through technical leadership and innovation.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the analysis and resolution of complex engineering challenges using advanced technical judgment and data-driven methodologies.

• Apply 58 years of professional experience in energy engineering including a minimum of 3 years in facilities benchmarking ASHRAE level energy auditing commercial building engineering design building controls building automation systems lighting systems and commercial boiler systems.

• Conduct large-scale data analysis measurement and verification (M&V) planning and execution and whole-building energy modeling using industry-standard tools such as EnergyPro eQuest and EnergyPlus.

• Ensure all technical work complies with applicable codes standards and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams clients and external stakeholders at both regional and national levels contributing to technical working groups and presenting findings in professional settings.

• Manage technical aspects of project planning and execution including scope definition budget development and timeline tracking.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in coordination with clients and internal business development teams.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and interns fostering professional growth and knowledge transfer.

• Analysis of utility bills estimation of energy efficiency savings and costs perform benefit-cost analysis and manage the QA/QC process on complex analysis performed by others to ensure deliverables are high quality and error free.

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

• Bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical field.

• 5 years of relevant experience in energy engineering or a closely related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience with existing building commercial & industrial energy efficiency programs.

• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes standards and accepted engineering practices.

• Must have a valid drivers license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR).

• Masters degree (MS) in Engineering or a related field.

• Professional certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer) CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or PMP (Project Management Professional).

• Experience in cost estimation proposal development and understanding of financial principles related to project profitability.
