Our client is seeking a Production Engineerwith hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication to manage and optimize shop floor operations. The role requires strong technical understanding manpower handling and focus on productivity quality and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee sheet metal fabrication processesincluding cutting bending welding grinding polishing and finishing
- Manage daily production activities to meet output targets and delivery timelines
- Interpret and implement engineering drawingsfor production execution
- Supervise and manage shop floor manpower (2035 workers)
- Drive productivity improvement and OEE enhancement
- Implement Kaizen initiatives and cost reduction measures
- Ensure quality standardsand minimize rework/rejections
- Conduct time studiesand optimize process efficiency
- Prepare and report daily/weekly/monthly MISon production efficiency and output
- Coordinate with HOD and cross-functional teams for smooth operations
- Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Practical knowledge of TIG/MIG welding processes
- Hands-on experience with measurement tools(Vernier Micrometer Gauges)
- Good understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes
- Exposure to grinding polishing and finishing operations
- Basic computer knowledge(MS Excel / reporting)
- Strong team handling and problem-solving skills
