Youll be involved in everything from preconstruction and procurement to logistics scheduling vendor management and project execution. Junior Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers throughout all phases of commercial construction projects
- Coordinate preconstruction activities procurement bidding and subcontractor outreach
- Manage job setup including site logistics equipment containers dumpsters and material deliveries
- Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes while helping drive purchasing decisions
- Track project budgets schedules documentation and project milestones
- Partner with field teams vendors and subcontractors to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Assist with the coordination and installation of specialty equipment and unique project components across multiple locations
- Serve as a key communication hub between the office field teams suppliers and project stakeholders
- Work primarily from the office (80%) while conducting occasional site visits to support project execution and gain field experience
- Continuously develop project management skills while taking on increasing responsibility and ownership
Junior Project Manager Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction OR 12 years of experience as a Junior Project Manager
- Commercial construction experience required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams vendors and subcontractors
- Eagerness to learn grow and advance within a construction management career path
