What You Will Do:
This positionserves as a highly skilled autonomous occupational health nurse within the Corporate Medical Department. Incumbentstypicallyhavedemonstratedcareer progressionthrough successively more advanced and complex administrative and clinical positions.This position isonsite 2ndshift 3-11pm Monday through Friday each week. There is an opportunity for overtime according to clinic needs.
The job functions could include some or all the following:
The delivery of comprehensive nursing services related to employee illness and injuryon a second shift schedule.
Functions as an autonomous nurse with the ability to respond independently to the majority of clinical and administrative demands.Seeks consultation and expert support when needed.
Responds toandleadson-site medical emergencyresponse.
Assumes responsibility formedical clinicadministration. Activities may include but are not limitedtomaintainingclinic orderoverseeing medical compliance activitiesandmaintainingmetricsmeasurementsand documentation for corporateMedicalfunctions viaanelectronic medical recordssystemand shared documentation platforms.
Provide oncall coverage forother Illinoisfacilitiesif needed(triage injuriesand document contact).
Supports local Human Resources and facility leadership in their initiatives toward health safety productivity and engagement.
Supports medical staff and outside entities indeterminingthe work-relatedness of injuriescomplying withgovernmental regulations and conducting investigations.This may be done on a limited basis.
Conducts DOT drug testing and fit-for-duty evaluations.
Conducts OSHA mandated and other surveillance exams.
What You Have:
Education/Experience:Licensed as a Registered Nurseinthe State ofIllinois3-5 years of progressively responsible job-related experience inoccupational medicine ICU ERor acute care.CPR certification;other certificationsin related fieldshighlydesirable.
Clinical Leadership:Knowledge of key business and clinical leadership concepts relevant tohealthcare functions;ability to balance business needswhile prioritizing thehealthcareneeds ofpatients.
Interpersonal Relationships:Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Diagnosis:Knowledge of the techniques roles and responsibilities in assessing andcreating a plan of care forpatients;ability to assess patients nursing care needs develop and implement a nursing care planmonitorprogressandmakeadjustmentsas necessary.
What Will Set You Apart:
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word ExcelTeamsOutlookand PowerPoint. Must be able to learn and manipulate various on-line databases such as but not limited toonline electronic medical recorddatabases.
3-5 years of nursing experience
Knowledge in various areas of occupational health including but not limited to OSHA compliance ADA EH&S HR ergonomics health promotion EMS and/or education / training.
Emergency roomICUor triage experience

Summary Pay Range:
$81370.00 - $122060.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
