Position Details:
- Outpatient inpatient and infusion
- Survivorship acute and routine visits toxicity visits chemo teaches and infusion coverage
- Clinic is open Monday Friday; Schedule consists of 4 days/10-hour shift or 5 days/8 hour shifts
- 3 Physicians 3 APPs
- Opportunity for chemo certification and bone marrow biopsy training
This APP functions primarily in the outpatient setting caring for a mix of solid tumor oncology as well as hematology patients and demonstrates appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills when working in a fast paced high acuity work environment. Minor inpatient role with occasional on-call during office hours. Qualified candidates will be able to perform thorough history and physical assessment.
Ideal Candidate:
- At least 1 year of experience in hematology/oncology working as an APP
- Effective communication (written and verbal)
- Willingness to collaborate closely with clinical team
- Current on best practice and standards of care
- Displays self-initiative to learn
