Safety EngineerPay Rate:$106700 $130500Multiple factors including Individual experience skills and abilities will determine where an employee is placed in the pay Salaried Full-Time Location:Global Cellulose Fibers Port Wentworth MillKey ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and support for the Safety and Occupational Health programs at the Port Wentworth MillReport to the Health and Safety Manager to develop implement support and administer site safety programs and ensure the mill complies with all applicable health and safety corporate initiatives laws and regulations to achieve and injury-free workplaceEnsure the mills compliance with OSHA requirements and GCFs health and safety program requirementsServe as the lead for specific training programs to implement and sustain requirements and trainingIntegrate continuous improvements in safety systems and help drive employee engagement to achieve desired resultsCollaborate with mill employees to identify and implement improvements driving overall reduction in hazards through the use of programs such as Safe Work Observations (SWOs) Hazard Reduction and Crew Top 5sProvide support to help develop and implement health and safety training programsCoordinate health and safety audit programs including corrective action plan implementation both internal and externalWork with departments on communications that promote safety performance and ensure complianceAbout You: Knowledge Skills and Abilities Preferred experience in EHSHealth & Safety ideally in a manufacturing environmentPreferred B.S. in safety engineering or industrial hygieneKnowledge EHS compliance and regulatory requirementsStrong verbal and written communication skills; presentation and delivery skillsDemonstrated skill in organizing and prioritizing to manage multiple tasksDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively to accomplish EHS requirements and objectivesDrive for Results Priority Setting Ethics and Values Process Management Action Oriented Managing through Systems Problem Solving Customer Focus Integrity and Trust Conflict Management Functional/Technical Skills Approachability Organizational Skills Time ManagementAbout Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF):Our GCF business helps customers transform renewable cellulose fibers into essential everyday products.
