About the Role
Lakeland Manufacturing is seeking a Quality Inspector to support product
quality and production performance through hands-on inspection and verification activities. This role is responsible for performing incoming in-process final and first article inspections ensuring all components meet engineering drawings customer specifications and quality standards. Youll play a key role in identifying issues early maintaining accurate documentation and supporting a disciplined high-performing manufacturing environment.
Location: Alexandria MN
Schedule: MondayThursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Targeted Compensation Range: $22-27/hour depending on experience
What Youll Do
Inspection & Verification
Perform incoming in-process final and first article inspections (FAI)
Verify dimensional visual and functional requirements against drawings and specifications
Measurement & Equipment Use
Operate precision tools including calipers micrometers height gauges bore/thread gauges Trimos systems and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
Ensure proper handling and care of inspection equipment
Documentation & Data Integrity
Accurately record inspection results in check sheets and systems
Maintain audit-ready documentation aligned with QMS requirements
Support Statistical Process Control (SPC) and customer reporting as needed
Non-Conformance & Corrective Action
Identify nonconforming material and support containment procedures
Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
Compliance & Safety
Support internal and external audits
Follow ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
What Were Looking For
13 years of manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred
Experience in machining or metal fabrication environments is strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection methods
Strong attention to detail and process discipline
Basic computer and data entry skills
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical training or certification in quality or manufacturing preferred
