Position Overview
Were looking for an Architectural Drafter to join our Building Envelope Architecture this role youll contribute technical design expertise to new construction AutoCAD drawings for new high-rise buildings. Youll work closely with project managers architects consultants and clients to help deliver efficient code-compliant and high-quality building envelope solutions.
What Youll Do
- Lead or assist in all phases of building envelope projectsfrom investigation and design through construction administration and close-out.
- Support the architecture team by preparing and reviewing construction documents AutoCAD drawings and detail packages.
- Collaborate with clients contractors and consultants to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout project lifecycles including field inspections and quality control.
- Stay up to date on NYC Building Codes zoning regulations and preservation standards.
What Youll Bring
Required:
- 3-10 years of experience in building envelope façade or restoration work.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word Excel).
- Strong communication organizational and project coordination skills.
- Familiarity with NYC Building Codes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Preferred:
- Professional Licensure (RA or PE).
- OSHA 10 training
- NYC DOB 4-Hour Supported Scaffold and/or 16-Hour Suspended Scaffold User Certifications.
Work Environment & Schedule
- This position is based in New York City with an onsite schedule.
- Standard working hours are Monday- Friday 9:00 AM- 6:00 PM.
- Travel requirements: Minimal
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70000 - $90000 based on knowledge skills and experience.
