We are a small and growing team how we operate changes frequentlyWild harvesting and processing of Alaska kelpCollaborating with others to clean and sanitize the processing area dishes and equipmentCarefully weighing recording and assembling products following detailed proceduresWorking on the production line filling inspecting and boxing jarsCompleting training to meet Alaska food handling requirementsMaintaining safety protocols with particular attention to machinery and electrical equipmentFulfilling orders from Barnacles customers located all over the countryPackaging products following different protocols for retail wholesale and online shippingNeatly and efficiently fulfill orders paying close attention to quality and accuracyThe ideal candidate is:A highly motivated self-starterAble to work in a fast paced environmentAble to work on a team and be trusted to work independentlyA quick learner with the ability to pay close attention to detailFamiliar with food safety protocols and knows their way around a kitchenEnthusiastic and open mindedRequirements:Maintain a strict level of personal and workplace hygieneComply with food safety protocols for food processorsAbility to lift 50 lbs. and work on feet all dayPhysical demands and work environment:The physical and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
