Hot Gas Path Coated Buckets Cell LeaderTheHot Gas Path Coated Buckets Cell Leaderis accountable for theSafety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC)performance of the coated buckets cell. This role will lead an organization of approximately9 salaried employees including supervisors and140 hourly employees.
This position is responsible for leading the manufacturing of coated buckets includingmachining coating non-destructive testing (NDT) and braze operations. Demonstrated experience with these processes as well as withgas turbine manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive a strong safety culture with the goal of achievingzero recordable injuries.
- Provide leadership and direction within the COE to achieveSafety Quality Delivery and Cost improvement KPIs.
- Lead the COEsOverall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)strategy through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champion the Lean vision as a change agent implementing strategies to reduceinventory lead time and waste.
- Support the early integration of Lean principles intoproduct design and process developmentfor New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Ensure clear consistent communication of key business and customer issues to employees.
- Foster collaborative cross-functional partnerships with internal customer cells and support organizations includingMaterials Quality Industrialization and Engineering.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing Services to understand the primary drivers of consumable cost and develop strategies to improve product cost.
- Work with supporting organizations to driveproduct cost competitivenessin the market.
- Select hire train develop and provide ongoing leadership for assigned personnel.
- Support the COE in strategic planning formanpower equipment and resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
OR - High school diploma / GED with at least4 years of equivalent experience
- Minimum of4 additional years of experience in operations leadership
