RESPONSIBILITIES:

The person in this position:

• Maintains positive employee relations with all employees through effective administration of company policies.
• Effective management of a collective bargaining agreement in a union environment.
• Advises and guides management in the effective utilization of human resources.
• Holds responsibility for decision making with respect to terminations and performance counseling to assure consistent enforcement of policies and procedures as not to violate any state or federal law.
• Is responsible for the effective administration of all company benefit plans.
• Maintains the plants affirmative action program.
• Assist in On-boarding tracking Career and Performance program Succession Planning and annual wage increases.
• Lead the development and execution of training programs.
• Assist in completion of payroll and maintaining time and attendance program.
• Accountable for developing the supervisor of safety/security/medical on overseeing the development of the Safety and Security Programs to meet OSHA and corporate requirements to assure safe and healthy working conditions and reduce frequency of accidents.
• Accountable for developing the supervisor of safety/security/medical on managing the workers compensation and non-work-related disabilityprograms that control costs and ensure quality care for employees through coordination with the medical community.
• Maintains the Human Resources Information System to ensure it accurately reflects human resource and payroll information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelors degree or equivalent employee relations experience.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Human Resource Management or Generalist role.

• Previous HR leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing environment.

• A strong pattern of initiative achievement and leadership.

• Proven problem solving decision making and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent organizational written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in a manufacturing/processing environment.

• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States a lawful permanent resident or have authorization to work in the United States.

• Applicants must not now or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred

• Experience with collective bargaining agreements.

Pay Range & Benefits:

At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $98100 - $137300 per year and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.
