RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person in this position:
- Maintains positive employee relations with all employees through effective administration of company policies.
- Effective management of a collective bargaining agreement in a union environment.
- Advises and guides management in the effective utilization of human resources.
- Holds responsibility for decision making with respect to terminations and performance counseling to assure consistent enforcement of policies and procedures as not to violate any state or federal law.
- Is responsible for the effective administration of all company benefit plans.
- Maintains the plants affirmative action program.
- Assist in On-boarding tracking Career and Performance program Succession Planning and annual wage increases.
- Lead the development and execution of training programs.
- Assist in completion of payroll and maintaining time and attendance program.
- Accountable for developing the supervisor of safety/security/medical on overseeing the development of the Safety and Security Programs to meet OSHA and corporate requirements to assure safe and healthy working conditions and reduce frequency of accidents.
- Accountable for developing the supervisor of safety/security/medical on managing the workers compensation and non-work-related disabilityprograms that control costs and ensure quality care for employees through coordination with the medical community.
- Maintains the Human Resources Information System to ensure it accurately reflects human resource and payroll information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelors degree or equivalent employee relations experience.
Minimum of 2 years experience in Human Resource Management or Generalist role.
Previous HR leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing environment.
A strong pattern of initiative achievement and leadership.
Proven problem solving decision making and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in a manufacturing/processing environment.
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States a lawful permanent resident or have authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred
Experience with collective bargaining agreements.

Pay Range & Benefits:
At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $98100 - $137300 per year and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.
