Senior Claims Examiner - 1st Party Commercial Property
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Examiner to join a team. This role involves managing complex 1st Party Commercial Property claims including both litigated and non-litigated cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in claim investigation coverage analysis loss assessment and claim reserving and settlement.
Compensation Package
- Salary: $100000 - $120000/year

Responsibilities
- Handle a caseload of 40-60 complex 1st Party Commercial Property claims including warehouses commercial buildings retail spaces farm/ranch buildings and more
- Manage claims with coverage up to $2 million
- Conduct thorough claim investigations and perform detailed coverage analyses
- Assess losses reserve claims and negotiate settlements
- Handle litigated files (approximately 50% of caseload)
- Collaborate with legal teams and other stakeholders to ensure efficient claim resolution
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelors Degree (required)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years handling complex 1st Party Commercial Property claims
- Litigation experience is required
- Carrier experience is highly desired
- Experience in jurisdictions such as CA TX FL GA and NY is preferred
- Licenses:
- Ideally licensed in TX or FL (other licenses will be considered)
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in claim investigation coverage analysis loss assessment and settlement negotiation
- Work History:
- A proven track record of consistent job tenure in previous roles is required
