We Are Looking For
The Quality Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and compliance of components and assemblies in the aerospace supply chain. This individual will take ownership of customer-facing quality activities advanced inspections and data-driven quality improvements. The Quality Technician serves as a liaison with customers supports root-cause correct actions and ensures adherence to stringent aerospace standards contributing significantly to operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
What Youll Do (Responsibilities)
- Manager and resolve internal events generated from customers complaints and suppliers non-conformances to ensure part acceptance
- Support operations ensuring compliance with AS9100 AS9120 AS9102 standards
- Support the team in providing detailed root-cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative action plans for non-conformities driving continuous improvement in quality process
- Act as a point of contact for customer interactions addressing quality-related inquiries resolving issues
- Manage Material Review Board (MRB) processes to evaluate and disposition non-conforming materials and coordinate Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes to address customer returns efficiently
- Mentor and train Quality Inspectors fostering a culture of quality excellence and adherence to standards
- Keep work areas clean and organized following 5S workplace standards
- Follow safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training to prevent workplace hazards
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in quality inspection or similar role within the Aerospace industry with advanced knowledge of engineering drawings and specification systems
- 1 years of experience of reviewing suppliers certification package
- Works effectively under minimal supervision and contributes to team efforts
- Leadership and mentoring skills to support peers to enhance team performance
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and process optimization
- Collaborates seamless with cross-functional teams customers and auditors
- Analyzes complex issues and develops effective corrective and preventative strategies
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures under supervision
Special Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) orasylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
- ITAR requirement
- 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
