Service Desk Network Operation Center Lead

Peraton is hiring a Service Desk/Network Operation Center Lead to support a Federal government customer. This individual would be the lead responsible for the Tier 1 support to a government customer. The candidates team is the first point of customer contact for network related operational issues. Typical Tier 1 support includes but is not limited to requests related to COTS hardware failures software failures application questions installations relocations turn-ins access rights hardware/software loaners network communication failures new user requirements temporary computer product check-outs and other computer related requirements.

This position is fully on-site M-F in the Baltimore-Metropolitan area.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and 12 years of experience. Bachelors degree should be in one of the following fields of study: Information Technology Information Systems Computer Science Data Science Software Engineering or lieu of a degree in one of these fields of study an additional four years of relevant experience or specialized training may be considered.
• At least four years of management level responsibility.
• Clearance Requirement: Active TS and SCI eligible.
• Certification Requirement:
  • Active CompTIA Security

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols and network security methodologies.
• Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g. methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
• Knowledge of national and international laws regulations policies and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
• Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.
• Knowledge of cloud computing service models Software as Service (SaaS) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
• Knowledge of cloud computing deployment models in private public and hybrid environment and the difference between on-premises and off-premises environments.
