Hooks Meng & Clement (HMC) is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our growing Southern Nevada office. HMC focuses its practice on Workers Compensation Insurance Defense OSHA Employer Representation and Industrial Insurance Litigation. We represent a diverse range of clientsincluding employers insurance carriers and third-party administratorsand are known for delivering strategic results-oriented advocacy.
This position offers an exceptional opportunity for aspiring attorneys to gain substantive real-world experience in a fast-paced litigation environment. As a Law Clerk you will conduct legal research draft pleadings and memoranda assist with case strategy and collaborate directly with experienced attorneys who are committed to mentorship and professional development.

- Legal Research: Conduct research on various legal topics and provide summaries of findings to support the firms attorneys.
- Document Preparation: Assist with the preparation of legal documents including pleadings motions and correspondence.
- Case Management: Support case management tasks such as scheduling court appearances preparing case summaries and documents and organizing case files.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with clients court staff and others as directed by the firms attorneys.
- Be able to collaborate and work on a team as well as individually.
- Ability to meet or exceed monthly billing requirements.
- Education: Bachelors degree. Must be currently in law school or have graduated from law school.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of the legal system and legal terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with clients.
- Daily use of the electronic case management system Filevine to keep case files organized and up to date.
- Be passionate about the practice of law and strive to exemplify the highest levels of respect and performance.
- This is an in-office position so you must reside in the Southern Nevada area.
- Ability to bring A-game daily!
