Job Summary
Location: DMV & Eastern Shore
Pay: $33.26$35.00/hour NonExempt
Job Overview
Anchor Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate excavators backhoes skid steers and other equipment on active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment and excavate around utilities
- Read and follow plans and blueprints
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work as part of a crew to meet project and safety goals
- Comply with OSHA state and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Experience operating excavators backhoes and skid steer loaders
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather and perform heavy physical work
- Ability to follow instructions in English
- Willingness to work overtime and travel to various job sites
- Ability to obtain a DC Operator License (Class 7A 7B or Open 7) within six (6) months
- Ability to pass required physical exams including DOT (if applicable)
