A Licensed HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Service Technician is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing heating cooling and ventilation systems. The job requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical components as well as experience in diagnosing and solving problems related to HVAC systems.
Some specific duties of an HVAC Service Technician may include:
- Install and maintain HVAC systems: HVAC Service Technicians install maintain and repair heating cooling and ventilation systems. They may work on a variety of systems including air conditioners furnaces boilers and heat pumps.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems: HVAC Service Technicians are responsible for identifying the root cause of any issues with HVAC systems. They use diagnostic tools and their knowledge of the systems to identify problems and come up with solutions.
- Repair and replace components: HVAC Service Technicians repair or replace any faulty or worn components in HVAC systems. This may involve replacing a motor fixing a leak or replacing a compressor.
- Perform regular maintenance: HVAC systems require regular maintenance to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively. HVAC Service Technicians perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning ducts replacing filters and inspecting components for wear and tear.
- Provide excellent customer service: HVAC Service Technicians interact with customers on a regular basis so they must be able to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service. They must be able to explain problems and solutions clearly and professionally.
