Synergie Australia is seeking a Finance Administrator for a trusted client based in Melbourne to provide temporary leave coverage.

The important parts:

  • Pay:$35$40 per hour Super
  • Duration:6week temporary assignment
  • Start date: 11th of May 2026
  • Hours:MondayFriday 9:00am5:00pm
  • Location: Melbourne

What you will be required to do:

You will support the finance function with a strong focus on accounts payable operations ensuring invoices are processed accurately and within agreed timeframes. This role suits someone highly organised detailfocused and confident working with multiple stakeholders.

  • Processing subcontractor and supplier invoices through accounting systems
  • Managing a shared accounts payable inbox and responding to enquiries
  • Reconciling creditor statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Liaising with vendors operational teams and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting purchase order and goods receipt processes
  • Assisting with weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Ensuring invoices are coded correctly and processed on time
  • Supporting monthend tasks as required
  • Providing a clear and thorough handover at the conclusion of the assignment

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have previous experience in accounts payable or finance administration
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be confident using Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • Have excellent communication skills and a customerservice mindset
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Work well both independently and as part of a broader team
  • Be comfortable working in a fastpaced operational environment
