We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Missile Defense mission this role you will support trade studies system engineering model-based system engineering software development and product testing and deployment. Leidos is focused on finding the best people processes and tools that will provide solutions in data integration and fusion data analytics data mining predictive analytics data visualization and decision support tools
Primary Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain missioncritical software supporting missile defense systems
Participate in Agile sprints and increment testing to validate software functionality
Document and communicate technical solutions across integrated crossfunctional engineering teams
Stay current with modern programming techniques and emerging software technologies
Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure quality and continuous improvement
Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development
Develop software solutions aligned with industry standards and best practices
Collaborate with the Systems Engineering team to plan and execute customer demonstrations
Coordinate with thirdparty contractors and stakeholders to support system integration
Required Qualifications:
BachelorsDegree in Software Engineering. Software Development Computer Science or related discipline with 8 years of experience; Additional experience training and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.
US Citizen; Currently possessing an Active DoD Secret Clearance
Proficiency in C and Java
Experience developing microservices and working with containerized environments
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an engineering team
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear logical fashion
Ability to translate highly technical discussions into executable plans
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree with 6 years of relevant experience
Experience in missile warning or missile defense systems
Background in algorithm development and testing
Understanding of missile warning message types
Experience with Agile software development in accordance with U.S. Government requirements

Pay Range:
Pay Range $107900.00 - $195050.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
