This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional non-functional and compliance requirements and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

LOB Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Software Engineer III to join our Reference Data Technology organization. This role is targeted at toptier engineers with a proven history of tackling complex engineering challenges thinking creatively and delivering highimpact technical solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment learns quickly and operates effectively with minimal supervision.

As a technical leader you will drive the development of horizontally scalable highperformance applications central to the Banks Reference Data platforms for Client Accounts and Instrument will work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams while also demonstrating deep ownership and strong technical decisionmaking.

Responsibilities:

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Designs develops and modifies architecture components application interfaces and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
• Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
• Executes story refinement definition of requirements and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Automates manual release activities
• Designs develops and maintains automated test suites (integration regression performance)
• Lead the design development and continuous improvement of missioncritical Reference Data applications.
• Architect and optimize distributed scalable and highperformance systems.
• Champion engineering excellence including code quality automation testdriven development and CI/CD practices.
• Engage with business product and data teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Quickly learn and apply new technologies business concepts and data domains essential to Reference Data.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 years of handson software development experience in a 3rdgeneration language such as Scala Java or Python.
• Strong problemsolving skills with a track record of delivering innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in collaborative Agile environments.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies business workflows and data models.
• Experience building or maintaining distributed applications data platforms or enterprisescale systems.
• Working experience developing RESTbased services.
• Scala or Java (ideally both)
• Strong willingness and aptitude to learn RDF and Semantic Web technologies

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Scala and functional programming paradigms.
• Exposure to Apache Spark Hive Cloudera or other distributed computing stacks.
• Familiarity with Semantic Web technologies such as RDF and SPARQL.
• Experience with graph technologies and graphbased data modeling.
• Background with Zookeeper Storm HDFS or similar distributed frameworks.
• Experience with automation and testing frameworks (Selenium Cucumber).
• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows testdriven development and automation pipelines.
• Experience supporting missioncritical highavailability systems in fastpaced environments.
• Familiarity with GenAI or AIdriven engineering is a strong plus.
