Job Summary
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor the Warehouse Auditor is responsible for auditing incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy. This is a full-time at-will non-exempt hourly position.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM with weekly overtime
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Inspection of inbound and outbound goods for damage quantity discrepancies and proper labeling. Ensuring orders meet Greenwood or customer requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and data entry into warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Audit picked orders for accuracy in item quantity and packaging.
- Collaborate with pickers leads and supervisors to correct errors and improve processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and process reviews.
- Collaborate with leadership to communicate team achievements and identify areas for improvement or development.
- Propose efficiency enhancements and cost-reduction strategies and support the implementation of operational changes.
- Maintain proficiency in all warehouse and dock functions to provide cross-functional support and serve as backup for other roles as needed.
- Load and unload trucks at the companys dock when required.
- Actively participate in training sessions plant meetings team initiatives and committee activities.
- Comply with all company policies procedures and work instructions including safety protocols Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and FSSC 22000 standards.
- Report and escalate any inconsistencies or quality issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in warehousing or loading dock operations preferred; experience in food or beverage facilities is a plus.
- Certification and training in operating sit-down and high-lift forklifts preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and a willingness to learn new functionalities to enhance operational efficiency.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Basic math proficiency and solid reading comprehension.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to read write and understand SOPs policies and instructions.
- High attention to detail and the ability to multitask accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours including overtime as required by operational needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use close and peripheral vision to identify issues with products labels containers and equipment.
- Capable of physically lifting and handling pails packages and containers weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to use hands for handling feeling or operating tools and objects.
- Ability to bend stoop kneel and stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks.
- Tolerance for working in environments with fluctuating temperatures and varying noise levels including extended periods in refrigerated or freezer areas (appropriate cold-weather gear and personal protective equipment provided).
