Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to tackle the extremely challenging industry demands of seabed exploration. Anduril has brought to the market a unique ultra-long-range full-ocean-depth platform and a completely refreshed maritime vehicle and flexible manufacturing architecture that scales from large to extra-large vehicle sizes. Today Anduril is executing on multi-million-dollar contracts while simultaneously performing Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) AUV operations.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our rapidly growing team in Quincy MA. The Warehousing Team manages end-to-end material management from planning to deploying cutting edge hardware for our customers. This role will lead the management of warehouse staff inventory strategy and various other SOPs for Andurils production operations out of our Quincy site.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our Quincy warehouse in support of production goals. Responsibilities include managing material flow optimizing warehouse operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This will require strong people and communication skills and an eagerness to identify opportunities find solutions execute plans and evaluate results critically and expediently. WHAT YOULL DO
- Develop and implement material management strategies policies and procedures. This includes:
- Hiring & training talent who can manage material flow per Anduril guidelines
- Develop processes that increase the efficiency (speed & elimination of waste) and effectiveness of Anduril materials management
- Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team providing guidance training and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Implement end-to-end material management measures including FIFO adherence material variances cycle time optimization scrap/obsolescence management cycle/physical counting and audits etc. to ensure inventory accuracy and to mitigate stockouts or overstocking. This includes the development & improvement of critical metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement production planning product engineering manufacturing engineering logistics and quality to aid in accurate demand forecasting procurement planning and to help align material availability with production schedules
- Analyze material usage trends identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean practices to optimize material handling storage and distribution
- Utilize ERP & WMS software systems and tools to track inventory generate reports and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and optimize material-related processes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements safety standards and quality control protocols in all material management activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience in material management inventory control or supply chain management role with 2 years of leadership experience preferably in an aerospace and/or defense manufacturing environment
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management logistics business administration or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles inventory management techniques and material planning strategies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data identify trends and make data-driven decisions
- Proficient in using warehouse management software and tools (e.g. Oracle/Odoo)
- Experience establishing and managing internal Kanban and Vendor Managed Inventory systems
- Solid understanding of lean principles and experience in implementing process improvement initiatives
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to lead and develop a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-oriented highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards related to material management activities
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance
US Salary Range
$98000 - $130000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
