Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager / Department Manager to lead patient care operations across Medical-Surgical Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC) units. This leadership role oversees nursing staff and daily clinical and operational functions while partnering with physicians and nursing leadership to deliver high-quality patient-centered care. The Nurse Manager ensures compliance with regulatory standards and evidence-based practice while fostering staff engagement development and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for nursing staff across MedSurg Telemetry and IMC units
• Manage clinical operational and administrative functions of assigned departments
• Promote patient safety quality outcomes and regulatory compliance
• Lead performance improvement quality and patient safety initiatives
• Support staff orientation education competency assessment and professional development
• Partner with physicians leadership and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Manage staffing scheduling hiring onboarding coaching and performance management
• Oversee departmental metrics including quality utilization productivity and budgeting
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies infection control and safety standards
• Foster a collaborative high-performing and patient-centered care environment

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Massachusetts required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Prior nursing leadership or management experience preferred
