Grow your career within our expanding Oncology and Haematology service
Our new Oncology/Haematology General Medical Ward will care for a diverse patient cohort of patients including elective and emergency admissions across a broad range of oncological/haematology conditions-from chemotherapy administration through to complex medical care.
What youll be doing:
- Working alongside specialist medical oncologists haematologists and a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Build on your acute care experience while further developing your oncology expertise in a highly specialised environment
- Deliver safe high-quality patient care including medication administration and monitoring
- Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and prioritise care needs
- Communicate effectively with patients families and the multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to a positive safe and collaborative ward environment
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
You will bring:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse
- Minimum 2 years experience in Oncology/Haematology/ General Medicine (essential)
- Strong commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence
- Well-developed assessment prioritisation and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Confidence in managing sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
- Victorian Working with Children Check
