About the Role

Local Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Teacher to deliver English Language and Literature to students across Key Stages 3 - 5. This is a permanent position to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching excellent classroom management and the ability to inspire students of varying abilities to achieve their potential. You will play a key role in maintaining high academic standards while creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan prepare and deliver high-quality English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.

• Teach across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 adapting materials to suit individual learning needs.

• Assess monitor and record pupil progress ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately.

• Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practice.

• Contribute to the wider school community and participate in departmental planning and development.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.

• Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 - 5).

• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for English education.

• Excellent communication organisation and interpersonal skills.

• Availability for an immediate start and interest in a temp-to-perm arrangement.
