Who we need
In this role you will provide accurate and timely responses to written and telephone billing inquiries review customer and member files and clarify account balances. You will also process service requests received via email fax and online channels maintain certificates and ensure service turnaround timelines are consistently met. As a Senior Customer Service Representative within a longtenured and knowledgeable team you will support other CSRs in handling complex situations share your expertise and assist with training activities. You bring an indepth understanding of departmental systems and processes and play a key role in upholding service quality and best practices.

What you will do
- Build and maintain business relationship with business partners
- Receive and respond to customer service inquiries via phone email or fax
- Communicate with insured members team members within other departments and internal/external partners to resolve billing inquiries regarding customer/member policies
- Provide feedback and assist with difficult and complex requests from business partners or clients
- Assist in cross-training of departmental processes and tasks
- Complete weekly/monthly Processes such as renewals certificate status changes (e.g. certificate cancellations coverage changes account changes member information beneficiary changes) statistical reporting refund approvals and conservation of business
- Assist in projects such as new account onboarding and system/product updates

What you will bring
- Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience in the insurance or financial services industry
- Excellent computer skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other computer applications such as Zoom DocuSign
- Familiarity using office equipment (fax machines printers mailing equipment)
- Ability to work within a team environment and independently
- Provides accurate prompt and friendly service
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills; detail and results oriented ability to multi-task meet deadlines and display a high degree of flexibility
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Exhibits enthusiasm and promotes a team environment
- A self-starter; takes initiative
- Strong learner; supports continuous learning
- Demonstrates punctuality and reliability in work attendance
- Understands and demonstrates positive outlook towards change
- French is an asset
