We are conducting a confidential search for a Chief Financial Officer on behalf of a high-growth construction company. The business is scaling aggressively through entirely organic growth currently at $60M in annual revenue with a clear path to $140M in the near term and $200M beyond that.
The CFO will report directly to the CEO lead a finance team of 56 (including a Corporate Controller and VP of FP&A) and serve as a true executive partner through the companys next phase of growth.
What youll do
- Own all financial reporting accounting and compliance
- Lead and improve Percentage-of-Completion (POC) and WIP accounting across all active projects
- Drive revenue operations billing collections cash flow and project finance
- Lead FP&A annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning
- Manage M&A activity: financial due diligence deal structuring and post-close integration
- Own banking relationships bonding capacity and capital strategy
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team
Required qualifications
- CPA required no exceptions
- Hands-on POC and WIP accounting expertise this is a hard requirement
- 10 years of finance leadership; 35 years as CFO VP Finance or equivalent
- Background in construction engineering or project-based manufacturing
- Proven track record scaling a finance function through significant revenue growth
- Hands-on M&A experience: diligence execution and integration *Nice to have
- Experience scaling a business from $50M to $150M is strongly desirable
- Familiarity with surety bonding and construction lending
- Experience with construction/manufacturing ERP systems (Viewpoint Sage 300 CRE CMiC or similar)
- Exposure to PE-backed or investor-facing environments is a preference but not required
