Every other weekend.

Hours differ based on the location and day:

Mt Holly- service hours are 11a-1pm daily. (7 days a week and holidays)

Voorhees- service hours are 11am -1pm on Sun. through Weds. and 10am-1pm Thur. Fri Sat. (7 days a week and holidays)

Summary:

Our child passenger safety seat technicians (CPST) offer a free car seat inspection and installation service to those being discharged from the Mother Baby Unit at both Virtua Voorhees and Virtua Memorial.

They also provide education and instruction on car seat safety for new parents and assist with early discharge initiatives on the MBUs.

Position Responsibilities:

Provides education and instruction on car seat safety to new parents during the immediate postpartum period.

Uses the child safety seat checklist and data provided by the New Jersey Highway Traffic Safety Administration to perform car seat safety inspections.

Demonstrates a high level of STAR qualities to provide customer satisfaction.

Works collaboratively with other child passenger safety seat technicians.

Participates in community events by performing car seat safety inspections and providing education.

Makes recommendations for program enhancements and improvements.

Required Education:

High School diploma.

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

4-5 day training course/Certified Child Passenger Safety Seat Technician/Recertification every 2 years.

Hourly Rate: $21.85 - $32.83 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicants experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
