Hybrid Staff Accountant Description

Our client a well-established and growing law firm is seeking a Staff Accountant to add to their team in Jacksonville FL. Reporting directly to the Finance Director and working alongside a small collaborative team youll play a key role in supporting financial reporting analysis and month-end close. Youll contribute across a variety of accounting functions including preparing journal entries reconciling accounts posting daily bank activity supporting payroll and benefits and analyzing monthly compensation and insurance data. If youre resourceful detail-oriented and excited by the opportunity to build and optimize processes in a dynamic environment this could be a great fit. Hybrid Staff Accountant Responsibilities

Perform account reconciliations
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Prepare and post journal entries
Assist with cash posting and daily cash management
Support accounts receivable
Monitor collections; follow up on overdue accounts
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
Collaborate with the team
Help improve accounting processes and workflow

Hybrid Staff Accountant Qualifications

Bachelors Degree required
2 years accounting experience required
Financial reporting experience required
Large/complex general ledger (200 accounts) experience required
Full-cycle month-end close experience required
Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP pivot tables data validation) skills required
Accounting software experience required
