Hybrid Senior Accountant (Financial Reporting exp req) Description

Our client a well-established and growing law firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to add to their team in Jacksonville FL. Reporting directly to the Finance Director and working alongside a small collaborative team youll play a key role in supporting financial reporting analysis and month-end close. You will take ownership of the processes and controls that protect the firms financial integrity with the autonomy and authority to develop evaluate and continuously improve accounting procedures. Ideal candidates for this role have experience in the private sector and are resourceful detail-oriented and excited by the opportunity to build and optimize processes in a dynamic environment. This is a highly visible position within a lean growing team where youll have the opportunity to wear multiple hats take ownership of your work and directly impact process improvements and the firms continued growth.

Hybrid Senior Accountant (Financial Reporting exp req) Responsibilities

Perform account reconciliations
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Prepare and post journal entries
Analyze period-over-period variances in revenue expenses cost of sales and cash activity
Lead process workflow and internal control improvement initiatives
Own month-end and year-end close activities and timelines
Collaborate with the team
Develop and lead projects aimed at improving operations data integrity and reporting

Hybrid Senior Accountant (Financial Reporting exp req) Qualifications

Bachelors Degree required
5 years progressive accounting experience required
Advanced accounting and financial reporting experience required
Large/complex general ledger (200 accounts) experience required
Full-cycle month-end close experience required
Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP pivot tables data validation) skills required
Accounting software experience required
