Maintenance Officer Juninga Aged Care

About the role
To continue the upkeep of our facility and grounds a new opportunity has come available for an experienced All Rounder Maintenance Officer to join the team at Juninga Aged Care facility located in Coconut Grove NT. This position is being offered on a full-time basis working 38 hours per week Monday Friday and at a salary of $30.44 - $31.79 / hour gross base (dependent on qualifications and experience)
This role will see you undertake a range of generalist handy person duties to keep our facilities in the best condition possible. This includes handyman duties such as paining fillers etc and grounds maintenance including mowing wippersnipping weeding etc. You will also provide support and guidance for external contracts who are on site to support the facility.
This opportunity will suit a person who is proactive and leads by example. You will have previous experience in a maintenance or handy man environment and be able to commit to full-time addition you will be comfortable working within an Aged Care facility and interacting respectfully with our residents.
Skills & experience:
To be considered for this role we would be looking at applications that hold the following experience and skills:
- Previous experience in a trade/building maintenance or handy man role.
- Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Competent in the use of hand/power tools and light machinery.
- Sound understanding of A/C plumbing electrical & fire systems.
- Ability to reflect on own performance and seek guidance when required.
