The expected hiring range for this position is$44000 to$48000 fornon-registeredand$48000 to$52000 for RegisteredPAL role falls within a broader internal salary band with growth opportunities based ondemonstratedperformance.

To be successful as our new PAL Coordinator you will:

  • Have a Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on psychomotor behaviour and exercise rehabilitation
  • Design and implement innovative cognitive and physical exercise programs for residents both individuals and in groups
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to ensure resident goals are met
  • Be familiar with completing resident transfer assessments
  • Collaborate with external partners in order to provide exceptional service to our residents
  • Provide leadership and supervision of Kinesiology Co-Op placements Students and Volunteers who assist with the PAL program
  • Facilitate education sessions such as lift & transfer body mechanics active living
  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents families and team members
  • Understand the physical mental and emotional demands of the role

It would be an asset if our new PAL Coordinator has:

  • Registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
  • Knowledge of relevant policies procedures legislation regulations and best practices a Experience and/or desire to provide educational sessions/ seminars
  • Demonstratedexperience working with seniors and/or persons with cognitive or physical impairments
  • Experience working in the retirement and long-term care sector (e.g.. School placement)

As a new PAL Coordinator you will:

You will work as key members of our Village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents needs and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their physical care.
