About The Role
Westcourt Capital is looking to add an Operational Due Diligence analyst to its best-in-class Research and Analytics individual will be responsible for overseeing and conducting thorough operational due diligence on both prospective and current alternative investments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of operational risks internal controls and industry best practices. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively.
Responsibilities
- Undertake Operational Due Diligence: Conduct and oversee comprehensive operational due diligence on investment opportunities including site visits interviews and detailed analysis of operational processes.
- Conduct assessments of external fund managers with a focus on private equity private credit and real assets.
- Risk Assessment: Identify evaluate and mitigate operational risks associated with potential and existing investments.
- Due Diligence Reports: Prepare and present detailed due diligence reports summarizing findings and providing recommendations to the investment committee.
- Monitor Investments: Monitor the operational performance of investment managers on a regular basis to ensure compliance with established standards and identify any emerging risks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with investment teams legal compliance and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to due diligence and risk management.
- Industry Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends regulatory changes and best practices in operational due diligence and risk management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in finance business administration accounting or a related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CPA CFA) is preferred
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in operational due diligence (more experience may be considered an asset and compensation will be adjusted accordingly)
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Project Management: Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Work Location
The primary place of work will be at Westcourts head office at Church and Bloor in has currently implemented a hybrid model where employees will be expected to physically attend and work at Westcourts head office for part of the week and work remotely for the remainder of the week.
