Cemtek KVB-Enertec is the leader in the Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) Industry selling gas analyzer systems and industry specific emissions monitoring software across the country and globally. We are growing and seeking an engineer for our Santa Ana CA team.

General Responsibilities:

Under general supervision and with some latitude for un-reviewed action - plans schedules budgets and coordinates detailed phases of a major project or as a total project of moderate scope. Carries out assignments involved with the design testing and manufacture of all aspects of a project within the guidelines of standardization provided. Determines the resources needed to execute the project on time and on budget including the manpower time and equipment. Minimizes the exposure to risk on each project. Ensures timely and accurate invoicing and monitors receivables for project. Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a good knowledge of principles and practices of related engineering specialties.

Specific Responsibilities:

  Review of specifications and all project documentation
• 
  Develops a project plan
• 
  Tracks and update the metrics of the project plan
• 
  Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
• 
  Holds regular status meetings with project team.
• 
  Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization
• 
  Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors
• 
  Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
• 
  Customer contact and correspondence
• 
  Develops Schedules and progress reports
• 
  Develops and issues change order requests
• 
  Requests invoicing of milestones
• 
  Maintenance of project book and documentation
• 
  Coordination of Shipping/Startup/Commissioning/Certification
• 
  Coordination of all deliverable documentation and manuals
• 
  Manages day-to-day client interaction.
• 
  Sets and manages client expectations
• 
  Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
• 
  Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
• 
  Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client ties
• 
  Builds a knowledge base of each clients business organization and objectives
• 
  Occasional travel to customer sites

Experience and Skills Required:

• 
  Previous project management experience required. Project management in an engineering manufacturing or technical setting preferred but not required.
• 
  B.A. or B.S. degree preferred
• 
  Have or be able to acquire quickly knowledge of CEMS and other Cemtek products.
• 
  Have or be able to acquire quickly knowledge of the environmental compliance requirements of 40 CFR Part 75 40 CFR Part 60 and various State or Local rules.
• 
  Must have a good working ability with Word Excel and MS Project.
• 
  Excellent written and verbal communication
• 
  Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers managers customers and vendors.

Working Relationships:

The project engineer/manager reports to the Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Manager. Interfaces with customers vendors engineers sales & marketing purchasing accounting parts and service departments.
