We are currently seeking a resilient and dedicated Caretaker to join our Ground Lease Model (GLM) program on a 6-month Fixed Term contract with a possibility of extension. This full time onsite role based at Prahran is vital in maintaining the quality and safety of our residential assets ensuring our residents live in well-kept welcoming environments.
The Role As a Caretaker you will be responsible for the upkeep of residential properties within the GLM portfolio. Working as part of our facilities management team your duties will include:
Performing general handyperson tasks (minor repairs painting upkeep)
Daily cleaning to maintain neat and hygienic residential areas
Supporting preventative maintenance programs and liaising with contractors
Conducting regular site inspections and reporting issues
Assisting with resident move-ins and move outs
Responding promptly to resident service requests
Providing friendly professional customer service with a diverse range of residents
Ensuring safe working practices in line with CHL health and safety policies
About You
Youre a team player who loves to contribute and you take pride in maintaining safe and welcoming spaces. Youll bring:
Experience in caretaking janitorial or handyperson roles
Strong planning organisation and time management abilities
Good communication and interpersonal skills with an openness to working with people from all walks of life
Ability to take responsibility work independently and manage multiple tasks to completion
Basic IT skills (e.g. property management software email)
A Green/White WHS construction induction card (or willingness to obtain)
A current Police Working with Children Check & Drivers Licence (mandatory)
