Lapwing continues to expand and strengthen its peripatetic Education Team across East Anglia and is looking for an inspiring Deputy Head of Education to join a well-established Senior Leadership Team and work across the region.
We are proud to see the current postholder move on to a fantastic new opportunity and we are now seeking a talented replacement to help Lapwings continued evolution.
This is a very exciting opportunity for the right candidate as this role will be integral to the effective leadership and management of Lapwings provision involving modelling shaping and quality assuring best practice SEND education delivery while supervising coaching and developing a committed team of colleagues.
As the successful candidate you will be an outstanding teacher from any age range with robust knowledge and experience of teaching assessing and working with young people with special educational needs. You will have demonstrable leadership management and staff development experience and be able to model best practice and creative approaches to colleagues.
Lapwing is a specialist therapeutic education provider and charity working with young people (aged 4-25 years old) facing exclusion from education employment and the community through social emotional behavioural or learning difficulties and disabilities. Lapwing delivers a broad range of highly personalised education programmes and projects that are designed to meet the needs of and help realise the aspirations of each student.
This is a full-time position within term time only. The post involves hybrid and peripatetic working from home various community locations and at times from Lapwings head office in Martlesham Heath Suffolk. The postholder could live in Suffolk Norfolk or north Essex. Lapwing believes in a healthy work life balance and we expect senior leaders to model this to colleagues.
