Operator Account Manager
Job Summary
- Account manage operators in your portfolio liaising with them to promote good practice provide support and undertake on site ad-hoc audits where necessary to ensure the timely and accurate payments for the schemes and grants they participate in.
- Lead the operator account team of three 1 x B2 1 x B1 and 1 x A4 to ensure consistency of concise audit checks and accurate recording of data in respect of operator data and payments.
- Ensure any non-compliant behaviour in relation to schemes and grants is escalated to tasking sessions where there will be a requirement to be involved in operator audits investigations and surveillance.
- Provide strategic direction for the team in line with the business needs that have been agreed with the Business and Operations Manager and Schemes and Payments Team Lead accepting responsibility for delegated tasks where appropriate.
- Work closely across the wider Schemes and Payments team to ensure accurate desk instructions and procedures are in place challenging processes for improvement.
- Take on any other relevant duties commensurate with the grade within the unit.
- Proactive management of operational performance and targets.
- Development of appropriate control and reporting structures.
- Open and timely escalation and reporting of risk and control issues.
- Compliance with operational delivery and operational compliance policies and procedures including legal requirements.

Working Pattern

Transport Scotland staff in hybrid-compatible roles should aim to work in-person 40% of the time either in an office or other agreed work location.
Security checks
Successful candidates must complete the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) before they can be appointed. BPSS is comprised of four main pre-employment checks Identity Right to work Employment History and a Criminal Record check (unspent convictions).
