Quality Inspector
Location: Newport NH
Company Overview
A leading manufacturing organization in the Newport NH area is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join its 2nd shift team. This company is known for its commitment to precision quality and continuous improvement offering employees a collaborative environment and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform open setup inspections and in-process/roaming inspections of machined parts
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI/PPAP) and complete required documentation
- Set up calibrate and perform gauge R&R studies
- Identify non-conforming materials and collaborate with production teams on root cause analysis
- Execute first-piece inspections with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain and control calibration of internal and external gauging systems
- Create ballooned prints and dimensional reports (AS9102 and critical features)
- Develop work instructions and train team members on inspection best practices
- Support quality initiatives across manufacturing engineering and programming teams
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role
- Strong knowledge of GD&T blueprint reading and inspection methodologies
- Experience with inspection tools gauges and calibration processes
- Familiarity with CMM operation GageTrak and PPAP (preferred)
- Self-motivated with basic computer proficiency
- Ability to stand walk bend and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Proven ability to analyze issues and provide effective quality recommendations
Additional Information
- Pay Rate: $20.00 - $30.000 depending on experience
- Schedule: Monday - Friday (2:30pm - 11:00pm)
