Transportation Engineer

STVs Florida operation is seeking a Transportation Engineer. The ideal candidate is an individual who desires to lead a team displays confidence and possesses a vast understanding of project managementandroadwaydesign principles.

Project Management responsibilities include:

• Coordination of design development and managing the timeline and scope of the project.
• Lead the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
• Assist with the development of specifications cost estimates reports and final bid package.
• Attending project meetings with clients sub-consultants and the project team.
• Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers.
• Mentoring supporting highway design staff.

Design responsibilities include:

• Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the FDOT Florida Turnpike and other transportation agencies.
• Developing design plans includingroadway geometric design cross sections construction staging and maintenance of traffic (MOT).Experience indrainage utility and/orsigning & pavement markingdesign is a plus.
• Developing Design Exceptions and Variations.
• Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification (required).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).
• FDOT and/or municipal client experience (required).
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in highway and roadway projects.
• Proficient with MicroStation Geopak and Corridor modeling.
• Open Roads Designer experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with AASHTO design standards.
