Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure safe efficient and reliable plant operations. This role provides leadership to maintenance personnel oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities and ensures adherence to company safety standards environmental regulations and maintenance best practices. The position promotes a strong safety culture and ensures compliance with all applicable MSHA regulations and company safety policies. Staff Supervision
Directly supervises 15-20 Maintenance Mechanics.
Assigns daily work activities and ensures tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Provides guidance training and technical support to maintenance personnel.
Monitors job performance and promotes safe work practices.
Ensures employees follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Management Skills:
The ability to structure and execute work activities through effective planning organizing delegating and controlling
Skilled in problem solving communication conceptual and analytical ability listening presenting and visioning
Detail oriented Specific Job Requirements
Minimum Associate Degree or technical education.
Basic computer skills enabling access to carious in-house and corporate information systems.
5 years experience in heavy or mining industries.
Basic understanding in good maintenance practices.
Ability to apply technical and professional skills/knowledge in job related areas.
Knowledge in welding torch cutting techniques rigging techniques bolt specifications torquing techniques lifting hand signals lubrication specifications and application alignment of chains and reducer drives pneumatic conveying systems/equipment bucket elevators belt/screw conveyors dust collection equipment kiln alignment pinion and bull gear alignment and hydraulic systems.
Must be familiar with the laws governing the handling and disposal of various RCRA and non-RCRA waste. Benefits Offered on Your First Day!
