Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
This position isresponsible for the Western Maryland Region field offices and facilities. Theyare:
Western Region: FieldOffices in Allegany Carroll Frederick Garrett and Washington counties.
Facilities are BackboneMountain Youth Center (24 beds male only) in Garrett County; Green Ridge YouthCenter (20 beds male only) in Allegany County; Garrett ChildrenCenter-currently closed (24 beds male only) in Garrett County; Meadow MountainYouth Center- Outdoor Education Facility; Victor Cullen Center (27 bed maleonly) in Frederick County; and Western Maryland Children Center (24 bed securegirls detention) in Washington County.
Some key responsibilities of this position mayinclude but not be limited to the following:
- Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate facility conditions utilizing comprehensive DGS/DJS inspection programs encompassing buildings equipment materials.
- Provides management oversight for all assigned maintenance staff operating within the maintenance services division including supervising the performance work quality and activities of maintenance staff and external contractors vendors and engineers.
This position iseligible to work a hybrid telework schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Minimumof a High School Diploma
Experience:10 years or more working in the projectmanagement and facility maintenance field.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidate for this position maypossess any of the following qualifications:

- Project/Construction Management experience
- Procurement of maintenance and facility project needs
- Contract monitoring experience
- Facility and Maintenance Quality Assurance Coordination
- Certifications in PMP (Project Management Professional) CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or FMP (Facility Management Professional)
