With new local contracts ready to go were looking for experienced MPU Operators to join our Operations Excellence hub. You will operate across our sites within the Bowen Basin. Enjoy the security of a permanent role with a 7:7 roster (Wednesday to Tuesday or Thursday to Wednesday depending on site) and benefits. At Platinum youll be more than just a number.

The Role

As an experienced MPU Operator youll be hands on with our mobile mixing units by safely loading transporting and pumping to deliver precise blasting outcomes. Youll report to an experienced and supportive manager and work closely with the rest of the crew to keep operations on track using advanced equipment in a safety-first environment.

What Youll Do

• Operating MPU trucks safely to manufacture and deliver bulk explosives to blast holes
• Track and maintain accurate records and proactively report any issues to the Shift Supervisor
• Carry out pre-start checks and support preventative maintenance on equipment
• Following all safety environmental and compliance requirements
• Support the wider team to achieve daily targets

What Youll Need

Must-haves:

• Right to work in Australia without restriction
• Previous and proven experience operating MPU/MMU or similar equipment in an open cut mining environment
• Statement of Attainment for MPU Operating e.g. RIIBLA203E Conduct Mobile Mixing of Explosives
• Heavy Rigid (or greater) drivers licence
• Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
• QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card (or ability to obtain)
• Able to pass pre-employment checks including medical drug and alcohol and background checks
• Have reliable access to a personal vehicle to reach site

Nice to Have:

• Relevant RII to operate a Heavy Rigid Vehicle RIIVEH307F
