HammondCare Home Care is currently looking for Carers to join our team in Canberra region on a Casual basis.

About the role

Youll provide essential practical care for older people supporting them to live independently in their own homes and genuinely improving their quality of life. This includes not only day-to-day care but also building meaningful relationships and offering companionship. The role requires travel to clients homes using your own car (youll be paid $0.99 per km plus paid travel time).

Being female is recognised as a genuine occupation qualification and is authorised under section 31(2h) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and so we ask that only Female applicants apply.

In return for your expertise we offer:

• $31.95 to $35.44 per hour plus 99c/km paid travel time mobile phone provided
• full training to all care workers (no experience is necessary)

About you

• youre a people-person who is patient and solutions-focused
• you have previous experience in aged or community care or are looking to start your career in aged care
• you have a valid Drivers Licence and access to an insured reliable car (min. Third Party Property Insurance)
• ideally youll have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If youre not currently qualified and would like to be then we can help
• youll be flexible around meeting the changing needs of home care clients
