About the role

Salary range: $41.73 - $53.53 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing
Registered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members.

• Facilitating the surgeon within the theatre setting supporting and collaborating with the theatre team to provide excellent patient centred care
• Preparation of the operating theatre and preparing patients for surgery ensuring all documentation is completed.
• Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
• Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
• The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients physical emotional and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.
• Ensuring safe and efficient care management within the scope of practice and professional guidelines.

About you

To be successful in this position you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions
• Minimum of one-year post-graduate perioperative or Day Surgery experience
• Experience working as a scrub scout is desirable
• However if you have limited perioperative experience but have transferrable skills training is available
• Excellent interpersonal communication and clinical problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
