Summary:

We are currently seeking a QA Engineer to join our Product Engineering team in Alderley Edge Cheshire.

This role follows a hybrid model with time split between home and office to support collaboration and delivery.

What your team does:

The Product Engineering team at Sharedo is responsible for building and evolving a highly configurable work and case management platform used by some of the largest law firms and enterprises globally.

Within this QA is a first-class citizen. We dont treat testing as something that happens at the endwe embed it into the entire development lifecycle. Every feature is delivered by a small cross-functional team we call the Three Amigos: Product (BA/PO) Engineering and QA.

This means youll be involved from the very beginninghelping shape requirements challenge assumptions and ensure what we build is testable valuable and high quality from day one.

The team values collaboration curiosity and pragmatism. Theres no throw it over the fence mentality herejust shared ownership of delivering great software.

Who you are:

Youre a QA Engineer whos seen enough real-world systems to know that quality isnt just about test casesits about understanding problems asking the right questions and working closely with others to get things right early.

You enjoy being involved in the full lifecycle of a feature not just validating it at the end. Youre comfortable contributing ideas around usability edge cases and potential risks and youre confident speaking up when something doesnt feel quite right.

Youre naturally curious and methodical. You like digging into how things work exploring edge cases and understanding not just what a system does but why it does it.

Most importantly youre collaborative and pragmatic. You work well with engineers and product teams helping to create a shared understanding of quality without introducing friction.

What youll work on:

• Collaborate within a Three Amigos team (Product Engineering QA) to deliver features end-to-end

• Contribute early in the lifecycle by validating requirements identifying gaps and ensuring testability

• Design and maintain clear structured test plans cases and scenarios in Azure DevOps

• Execute manual testing (functional regression smoke) and support broader non-functional testing (performance API security)

• Prepare high-quality test scenarios to support automated testing pipelines

• Investigate triage and manage defects through to resolution in collaboration with engineers

• Participate in feature playbacks and adapt test strategies as requirements evolve

• Support release validation including running regression packs and signing off release candidates

• Contribute to project-based testing for client-specific implementations where required

• Help improve QA processes tooling and overall testing strategy across the platform

• Contribute to test coverage reporting traceability and quality metrics

What you bring

• Experience working as a QA Engineer in a product or project environment

• Strong experience writing manual test cases and test scenarios

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar test management tools

• Experience supporting both functional and non-functional testing

• Understanding of software development lifecycles and agile delivery models

• Ability to quickly understand and test complex domains and workflows

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers and product teams

• A methodical detail-oriented approach with a naturally inquisitive mindset

• Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI

Serious bonus points if you have:

• Experience working in legal insurance or case management systems

• Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright) or working closely with automation teams

• Experience testing APIs performance or security aspects of applications

• Experience balancing product testing and client/project-based testing

• A strong interest in improving QA practices tooling and strategy

*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
