Job Title: Building Safety Director (Building Control Consultancy)

Salary: Up to 100000 (DOE)

Position: Permanent

Are you an experienced Registered Building Inspector or Building Control professional looking for your next challenge Were working with a client who is seeking a Director for Building Safety (Building Control Consultancy) to collaboratively work with architects buildings and developers to ensure safe structurally sound and code compliant buildings.

This role is ideal for experienced Registered Building Inspectors or Building Control Professionals although being an RBI is not essential.

If youre a Registered Building Inspector looking to maintain your RBI classification this client has the necessary provisions in place to support you. They can provide ongoing projects to help you retain your classification and continue your professional development as needed.

The Role:

Supervise others to perform their duties who are at a lower RBI class or who are graduates under training.

Assist clients with Building Regulations Consultancy Advice where you will not be acting as the RBCA.

Interpret and enforce national and local building regulations including fire safety energy efficiency accessibility and environmental requirements.

Prepare detailed inspection reports compliance certificates and documentation for regulatory approval processes

Maintain accurate records of inspections findings and recommendations ensuring traceability and compliance with local authority requirements

What were looking for:

Proven experience in Building Control or Building Regulations (e.g. Registered Building Inspector or similar role).

Director/ Management experience desirable but not essential.

Ability to work autonomously while contributing and supporting with the larger team vision.

Strong communication and leadership skills.
