Supply Chain Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a high-motivated Buyer to support critical procurement activities across key programs.

You will manage suppliers execute purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery of critical materials and

services required to support engineering and manufacturing. This position is ideal for someone hungry to

What youll do

• Own purchase order execution for production and prototype materials tools and equipment
• Track order status and proactively resolve delivery quality and pricing issues
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing to identify best-fit suppliers and sourcing strategies
• Support cost reduction and supply chain optimization initiatives
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with commercial terms and agreement
• Analyze supplier and procurement data to identify risks and opportunities
• Own and manage production work orders and downstream issue resolution with receiving finance and accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in supply chain engineering business or related field
• 2 years of supply chain experience including technical procurement
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) is a plus.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and prioritize in a dynamic deadline-driven setting
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in supply chain engineering business or related field

US Salary Range
$75000.00 - $100000.00

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience education specialized training critical expertise training and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterras overall compensation addition to base salary and equity Forterra offers competitive benefits for full-time employees including:
